The charge that Israel is a colonial state is meaningless. “Colonial” refers to a situation in which a native population is ruled by another state from the outside – such as when Britain, France, etc. had colonial regimes in Africa.
Israel is an independent state, not ruled by any state from outside. The Jews who returned to Israel to develop the land were not representatives of another state, seeking to gain control for that other state.
The Jews represented themselves and came on behalf of the Jewish People. They were not interlopers, but were returning to the land that was historically theirs.
The term “colonial” is applied to the Jews in Israel in an attempt to demonstrate that they are outsiders. But in point of fact, the Jews are the indigenous people of the land.
